Bright fruit flavours combined with an intense complexity

Aged for ten years in Dow's Boa Vista Lodge, this 10 Year Old Tawny retains the bright fruit flavours of a young wine combined with an intense complexity from ageing in well-seasoned oak.

tasting note

With a deep russet coloured centre that fades to a distinctive garnet edge, bright aromas of red cherry and almonds coupled with toffee and vanilla notes balance the nose.

On the palate this wine is mouth-filling, with peppery spice and a touch of marmalade preceding a full finish with Dow’s trademark dry edge.

Mellow fruit flavours are balanced with the complex characteristics only produced through prolonged wood-ageing.

For some, Dow’s 20 Year Old is the perfect example of an Aged Tawny Port. Mellow fruit flavours are balanced with complex characteristics that are only produced through prolonged wood-ageing.

tasting note

With a polished brown centre and orange-amber edges, this wine shows aromas of honeysuckle and a discreet butterscotch scent.

Refined and balanced on the palate, flinty tannins meld with concentrated red berry fruit and a lifted mineral freshness.

Nuanced flavours of tobacco lead to a focused, dry finish.

With a coppery-amber colour framed by a pale orange-green rim, this wine shows saline scents alongside elegant floral notes and a touch of cinnamon.

Luxurious and silky on the palate, Dow’s 30 Year Old Tawny is extremely refined with flavours of quince, citrus and a stylish, lingering dry finish with nuances of tea leaf.

tasting note

With a beautiful, translucent amber-golden colour, delicate fragrances of dry fruit are coupled with a hint of fine marmalade.

A luxuriously silk-like palate and notes of fruit preserves then lead to a complex, long and slightly dry finish revealing nutty praline notes and ending with a tea leaf flourish.
